Terms of use

Effective date: August 17, 2026 · Operated by Ghost Harbor LLC

Your codes are yours, permanently

Every code generated on this site is static: the QR code image itself contains exactly the content you entered, encoded directly in the pattern. There is no shortener, no redirect through this or any other domain, and no dynamic layer. Consequences of that design:

No warranty — verify before you print

The tool is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. QR rendering can be affected by extreme style choices (low contrast, oversized logos, low error correction). Before printing at scale or committing a code to anything hard to change, scan the downloaded file with the actual devices your audience will use.

Acceptable use

You are solely responsible for the content you encode and where you place it. Do not use the tool to encode content that is illegal, deceptive, or infringing. Because content never reaches our servers, we cannot review, moderate, or remove what you encode — responsibility for it is entirely yours.

The decoder

The decoder reports what a QR code contains. It does not and cannot tell you whether the destination of a decoded link is safe, whether a decoded Wi‑Fi network is trustworthy, or whether decoded contact details are genuine. Warnings about redirect services are based on a list of known domains and may miss services not on the list.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ghost Harbor LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages arising from use of this site or of codes generated with it, including misprinted materials, unreachable destinations, or losses caused by content encoded by you or by third parties. The site is free and provided with no service commitment; total liability for any claim is limited to one hundred US dollars ($100).
